Interview with Alastair Dryburgh
- Does he think technology makes good communication easier?
Yeah, because he mentions that there are important points, and those points make the communicacion easier, we can find many ways to get clear messages and maintain a correct and understandable communication, without losing the message you want to give.
- What four key points does Alastair make about communication?
1. The people have a limit of attencion and the information cannot always be passed correctly
2. Recognize that the communication is about maintain a good conversation
3. The communication is not based only on talking, also is important to listen that the other people says.
4. For the communication to be effective thre must be a connection of emotions and thoughts.
Alastair gives an example of a company which has used technology to change the way it communicates with customers. Give reasons why it communicates well.
- The example that he mentions is clear and very understandable, it makes us imagine the companies as if we had it in front of us.
- He has a perfect vocabulary, he uses words that complement the information and make message clearer
- The main idea of his conversation is easily understood.
Alastair is describes a bad customer experience. What mistakes did the company make, and how could they have improved the customer experience?
In this case, main problem is that the company doesn´t have a real person answering the calls, so the persons wait a long time on the line without an answer.
The solution could be to hire people whit experience in the treatment of people, and this way make the service faster.
I disagree with your first answer, I think he thought that technology could help communication a little, however it could also make it worse. But is a good job.
ResponderBorrarHi, I read your post and realized that I have different answers, firstly I think that Alaistar claims that technology can improve communication but also worsen it.
ResponderBorrarYour second key point in answer two, I'm not sure about that, I think that it's regarding recognize the communication is about the meaning, not maintain a good conversation.
Finally, your answer 3, the idea is worth considering, but it seems to me that you have to talk about Amazon, the company that Alastair explains not about him. However, you did a good job.
